If you make a large label, then you can even write down specific care and watering instructions. This will allow you to change the names on the pots when the plant inside of them changes. If you are using spray paint, cover the pot with a plastic bag and seal the edges of the bag to the pot using tape, or use painters tape to cover the whole pot.
